How the score is calculated
Each seller gets a 0–100 score from four weighted dimensions (each normalised to 0–1):
score = 100 × ( 30%·trust + 30%·price + 25%·delivery + 15%·services )
- Trustpilot — 30%: rating, dampened by review volume. Review volume dampens the rating only until the sample is large enough to be reliable (~2,000 reviews); beyond that, extra volume doesn’t raise trust. Trustpilot ≥4.75 is treated as one top tier; differences above it fall within noise. An integrity caveat (e.g. review-solicitation) still lowers the score even at ≥4.75 — a rebrand note does not.
- Price — 30%: scored on the percentage premium over the cheapest tracked seller (not a min-max scale), so it doesn’t depend on the most expensive seller — the cheapest scores full marks and each percent dearer costs a little, down to a floor. Computed on the regular price, never a discount.
- Delivery safety — 25%: mainstream methods (Comfort Trade, Player Auction, Self-/Login) are treated as comparably safe — offering an extra method isn’t a downside; only an unknown/unverified method is penalised.
- Services & benefits — 15%: range of services offered plus any reward/benefit.
